Jenna Wurtzberger is a Minnesota born dancer/choreographer/teacher whose training spans from classical ballet to contemporary jazz. She received her BFA in Dance and BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with honors and received the award for “Outstanding Graduating Senior.” Her choreography has been presented locally and internationally with recognition as “Outstanding Choreography” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal for her work with the Las Vegas theatre community. She has performed throughout the United States as well as Germany, South Korea, and the Caribbean. Jenna completed her MFA in Dance at Temple University with honors and the “Sarah Hilsendager Emerging Educator Award”. She developed a love of sharing dance with the community when she became a member of the Pennsylvania Ballet Community Engagement Department. In this position, she had the privilege to teach children in the Philadelphia School District while also writing curriculum for the Dance Chance Program and the Delphi Project. Jenna has been a member of the Kansas City Ballet Community Engagement Department as both a Reach Out And Dance Teaching Artist and the Jazz Instructor for the R.O.A.D. Scholars. This program brought a cross-disciplinary curriculum to 3rd and 4th-grade students in both Kansas and Missouri. Jenna has had the honor to be on faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Temple University, Missouri Valley College, and Cottey College. She holds a certification in Pilates and is on the journey towards her Yoga 200-RYT with an additional concentration of 100 Hours of WarriorKids Training. Jenna's teaching interests include the holistic examination of an artistic body, compositional frameworks, collaborative explorations, and trauma-sensitive pedagogical inquiry. She is thrilled to be back in Las Vegas and to share her passion for dance education with the Evolve Dance Center family!
